Whether you are a first timer looking to embark into the world of fly-fishing, or an old hand looking to add some distance to your cast, we have a variety of lessons to suit your needs.

We provide on-the-water lessons and clinics throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario Peninsula, including Grey, Grey Bruce, Huron, Huron Perth, Waterloo, and Waterloo Wellington counties. Whether you are in Toronto, London, Southampton, Guelph, or anywhere in between, there is a world of fly fishing adventure not far from your door.

First Cast - An introduction to fly fishing and casting

This learn to fly fish lesson is 6 hours in duration, combing both casting instruction and actual fishing on the banks of the world famous Grand River. We cover all the basic techniques for fly fishing and casting as well as on-the-water coaching under real fishing conditions. This course is popular with folks who have never touched a fly rod as well as anglers with some experience that want to fill in the gaps in their basic fly fishing skill set. First Cast Refresher

Recommended as a two-week follow up to the First Cast course. The refresher is a 4-hour guide/instructional class done on the Grand River, and includes all equipment, flies and beverages.

One on One Casting Sessions

Looking to get the kinks out of your double-haul, or pick up some tricks to set up for that perfect drift? This is a one on one session for casters looking to improve skills or add new techniques.

Introduction to Spey Casting

Long practiced in Europe, spey casting has been catching on here in North America. This is a great technique for wade fishing rivers, and is just an all out fun style of casting. This course is 6 hours in duration and takes place on the Lower Grand River or Saugeen River. We will cover basic casting techniques and fishing methods to get you started with confidence.

Introduction to Steelheading (September through November)

Want to extend your fishing season and learn the skills to catch these magnificent leaping silver bullets? This course is 8-hours in duration, located on one of our Georgian Bay, Ontario steelhead rivers. This course covers the many aspects of angling for steelhead, giving you the confidence to catch this fantastic species. All the fly-fishing gear is supplied along with hot lunch and beverages. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
